Introduction and Overview

The Sacraments are defined as outward signs of inward grace, instituted by Christ to help individuals in their spiritual life and to grow in holiness. Sacraments are mysteries; they are signs of the sacred presence of our God in our midst today. They are more than mere signs, however, for the sacraments impart grace. The sacraments help to make people holy and build-up the body of Christ. They are a way to relate to God throughout life’s transitions and help us to give praise and worship to God. They help us nourish, strengthen, and express our faith. Through the sacraments, Jesus remains with His people, strengthening, healing, feeding, and forgiving them as they face life’s challenges.

The Catholic Church celebrates seven Sacraments, which were instituted by Christ during his earthly ministry and which continue to define the liturgical life of the Church today. The Sacraments nourish, strengthen, and express faith.

Reconciliation

Saturdays from 3:15 to 3:45 pm or by appointment.

Tuesdays and Fridays: 12:45pm to 2:00pm

Baptisms - English

are held on the 4th Sunday of the month at 10:00am, within the Mass.  Call to register

Baptisms - Español

are held on the 4th Sunday of the month at 12:00pm, en la celebración eucarística.  Call to register.

Please consult with a priest at least six months in advance. A program of preparation is required of all couples.

Sacramental Record

First Eucharist

First Eucharist preparation is given through Catechesis and Faith Formation in grade two (2). Students must have one (1) year of Catechesis or be enrolled in Catholic school prior to beginning the First Communion Preparation.

The sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist will be given at the end of the second year of preparation to those who have completed the appropriate work.

Confirmation

Confirmation preparation is given through Catechesis and Faith Formation in grade ten (10). Students must have one (1) year of Catechesis or be enrolled in Catholic school prior to beginning the Confirmation Preparation.
